Synthetic resins
The production of synthetic resins is intended for sale as well as for internal use inside Helios Group.
The wide production programme covers two main application areas:
• coatings;
• resins for PU systems (soft foams);
- resins for electric insulations (in smaller quantities).
We are oriented towards the competition and follow intensively new trends, which are connected with technological development and environmental requirements. We provide our advantage on basis of a wide and various programme, which enables to us with our developmental orientation high flexibility with customers' wishes and requirements.
We are present with our products in more than 30 countries, for the major part in the members of the European Union. Based on our successes up to now we systematcally follow the set goal – to become one of the leading producers of resins for coatings and soft foams in the area of Western, Central and South Eastern Europe.
The product groups of the main production-sales programmes are represented by:
o Resins for coatings:
• alkyd resins Domalkyd (the emphasis is on the special and modified alkyds for decorative coatings and industrial coatings for wood and metal);
• acrylic resins in the solution Domacryl:
- hydroxi acrylic resins in the solution for 2K PU car refinishing coatings and coatings for wood, metal and plastic;
- thermoplastic acrylic resins in the solution for road coatings, aerosol, metal and wall coatings;
- acrylic resins for 2K cold plastic (roads);
• saturated polyester resins Domopol for oven dried can and coil coatings and 2K PU coatings for wood, metal and plastic;
• water dispersions Domemul for coatings for wood, metal and plastic;
• water-thinnable alkyd resins and alkyd emulsions Domalkyd.
o Resins for soft foams:
• Domopol (saturated polyesters - polyols).
