UV ACRYLIC lacquers
V ACRYLIC lacquers are based on acrylic binders and acrylic reaction solvents and form the cured films by means of photoinitiators and when they are exposed to UV light. Due to high crosslinking rate, these lacquers are known for their excellent chemical resistance and physical properties, which are very important in comparison to other materials used in wood surface protection.
- The advantages of UV ACRYLIC lacquers:
- no emmission of solvents (90-100% solid substance),
- quick curing and thereby quick production procedures,
- good chemical and physical characteristics of the cured films,
- low price of the treated surface.
- The disadvantages of UV ACRYLIC lacquers:
- irritating to eyes and skin,
- higher price in comparison to other lacquers (nitro, polyurethane, ...).
UV ACRYLIC lacquers are widely used with a roller application in industrial lines for the processing of furniture, interior doors and parquet.
