EKOHEL - water-thinnable lacquers for interior furniture
EKOHEL lacquers are newly developed, ecology friendly coatings for the surface protection of interior furniture. Their use has recently increased, above all due to ever increasing strict emmission standards and environment protection.
The basic component of the coatings is the dispersion of polymers (polyacrylates, polyurethane, alkyd, polyesters), which are finely dispersed in water.
- The advantages of EKOHEL lacquers:
- ecologically more friendly in comparison to standard, conventional systems
- water-thinnable
- easy preparation
- various application possibilities (spraying, roller application, curtain, dipping)
- easy cleaning of equipment
- The disadvantages of EKOHEL lacquers:
- longer period needed for drying of the treated surfaces
- lifting of wood fibres, which requires more intensive brushing
- storage at a temperature between 5 and 30°C, it should not freeze
- containers for preparation and packaging should only be made of stainless material
Water-thinnable lacquers based on polyacrylate dispersions are used for the protection of small furniture pieces, children's furniture, bedroom furniture, surfaces which will not be exposed to weather influences and chemicals. Lacquers based on polyurethane dispersions are used for the protection of kitchen and bathroom furniture, office furniture and elements, where high physical-chemical resistance is required.
