HELIOCEL - nitrocombined lacquers and enamels

They are one of the oldest systems for wood treatment based on nitrocellulose and alkyd binders solved in organic solvents.
HELIOCEL lacquers (clear coatings) and HELIOCEL enamels (pigment coatings) are Helios trade-marks for nitrocombined clear and pigment coatings.

  • The advantages of nitrocombined lacquers:

- easy preparation
- quick drying
- various application possibilities: spraying, curtain coating, rolling, dipping, brushing
- easy cleaning of tools and equipment
- easy corrections of the already lacquered surfaces

  • The disadvantages of nitrocombined lacquers:

- ecologically less favourable - contain 65 - 75% organic solvents
- less favourable physical-chemical resistance

  • When should we use the nitrocombined system?

- when protecting wood surfaces, which are not exposed to weather influences or water
- when the requirements of a physical-chemical resistance of elements are not very high
- when protecting wood surfaces with open or semi-open pores and there is no need for rich appearance and high surface gloss
