LAZURIND and LAZURIND aqua
Besides decorative function, the main characteristic of the surface treatment of wood products which are exposed to weather conditions (joinery, garden furniture) is the long protection of wood. Wood has to be protected against different atmospheric influences (rain, sunlight, oxygen, acid rain, smog) and pest (fungi, insects and bacteria).
Following up-to date world trends in quality wood protection and environmental care, we recommend two groups of products for industrial surface protection:
1. LAZURIND: ind. wood preservative coatings based on alkyd resins and organic solvents:
- IMPREGNAL ... impregnation for preventive wood protection against fungi and insects
- LAZURIND ... impregnation wood preservative coatings for decorative protection and
- LAZURIND top ... thick-layered wood preservative coatings (lacquer varnishes)
2. LAZURIND aqua: ind. wood preservative coatings based on water-thinnable acrylic binders:
- IMPREGNAL aqua ... impregnation for preventive wood protection against fungi
- LAZURIND aqua ... impregnation wood preservative coatings for decorative protection and
- LAZURIND aqua top ... thick-layered wood preservative coatings and enamels
- The advantages of water-based wood preservative coatings in comparison to standard ones, which are based on organic solvents:
- environment and people friendly
- explosion and fire safety
- quick drying
- longer maintenance intervals
- water-thinnable
- easy cleaning of the application equipment
- The disadvantages:
- more intensive lifting of wood fibres
- the application equipment should be made from stainless steel
- storage of materials at a temperature over 5°C
For the surface protection of wood, which is exposed to weather influences you may choose from our wide range of transparent and top colours, however we do not recommend transparent colours, as it provides less durable protection of wood against UV rays in comparison to other colour shades.
- Renovation:
For the renovation of wood preservative coatings LAZURIND and LAZURIND aqua we recommend the use of the following Helios system:
- BORI (acrylic) thin-layered wood preservative coating and
- BORI (acrylic) lacquer varnish
